ALTERATION, a film by jérôme Blanquet, a sci-fi VR short film that delves into how AI may infiltrate our dreams in the not so distant future.
Synopsis:
Alexandro volunteers for an experiment carried out to study dreams. He can’t imagine that he will be subjected to the intrusion of Elsa, a form of Artificial Intelligence who aims to digitize his subconscious in order to feed off of it.

We wish to propose a virtual reality S3D fiction film, written and conceived from the start for these new forms of viewing.
Alteration gives you the chance to see what it would be like undergoing the intrusion into our dreams of an Artificial Intelligence programmed to digitize them.
On the one hand we are with Alexandro whose dreams are digitized and absorbed; on the other we watch Elsa’s evolution. An artificial brain made up of codes which little by little becomes human.

jeanfrançois and jérôme Blanquet are the radical spin doctors of misinformation. In their version of modern dystopia, the mechanisms of viral infection create a blitzkrieg of verbal soundbytes and subliminal video.

These sensory games of millenial madness translate into slippery meaning, layers of connotation and denotation, a myriad of compressed verbal information and mixed intention. Burroughs for the digital age… This is time, in terms of a friendly spam e-mail, to “Be a Hero.”

Raw geometry

RAW Geometry is the story of a piece of data (audio-signal) that collapses in upon itself through different audio and video forms over and over again. Then it inevitably evolves and transforms itself,
Jérome & Jean-Francois Blanquet (part of projetsinge) have developed a live audiovisual device which allows a direct experiment of video/sound relations through ‘bridges’ between mixing-desks using cables, hertzian waves and electric power lines. Thus sounds create pictures and pictures create sounds. RAW Geometry is a visual-audio project taking shape in improvisation. It’s a play on the instability of machines and humans, on a ‘loss of control’, which explores unexpected areas of alien sensations and meanings – from outerspace. An experiment on forms that can generate audio and visual tools of our time and gives rise to a narrative.
